CEPOL Online Course 05/2019: THB as a Cyber-enabled Crime
25 March 2019 to 12 April 2019

The entire activity will be carried out online therefore physical presence of participants will not be required. No special computer skill is required for the attendants. Trainers will facilitate the course, give instructions and provide feedback online.

The overall objective of the training is to develop professional skills to detect and investigate THB while using online investigation methods and techniques and enhance cooperation with cyber-crime experts.

The course will cover the following four sections across three weeks:

  • EU Legal Framework and Cooperation
  • Criminal Activity on the Internet in the area of THB
  • Detecting and tracing of criminal activities on the Internet
  • Financial crime and investigations in relation to THB

The progress of learners will be monitored and regular feedback will be provided. Those learners who meet the certification criteria will have access to their electronic certificates.

The online course offers 50 seats altogether. We expect nominations from all the areas of Law Enforcement and Judiciary, representatives of the member states, fellow agencies and the course is also open and free for participants from partner, potential candidates and candidate countries.

Target Audience: 

THB investigators as well as other relevant law enforcement officers including border guards, prosecutors and staff from EU agencies (Europol, EJTN, Frontex, eu-LISA).
