Participants on this course will be able to understand radicalisation and how extremists use Internet. They will also be able to:

  • identify signs of radicalisation and terrorist recruitment
  • strengthen the multi-disciplinary approach in early detection of radicalisation
  • explore the role of community policing in detection of radicalisation signs
  • explain how police can identify the use of Internet for radicalisation purposes
  • demonstrate police role in prevention and potential ways to prevent people joining crisis zones abroad (the phenomenon of foreign fighters)
  • summarise a multi-actor approach to this issue
Target Audience: 

Intelligence officers and special services personnel (relevant security clearance is required).
