Aims:

  • to increase controls of external borders, in particular with the Western Balkans, in order to detect smuggling of firearms;
  • to enhance the knowledge and skills of border police officers exercising border control on firearms trafficking;
  • to improve the understanding of ties between arms-related crime and terrorism.
Target Audience: 

Investigators combatting firearms trafficking and organised crime groups involved in illicit firearms smuggling, in particular linked to the EU border.
