30/2017 Tackling firearms trafficking at the EU external borders

Description:
Aims:
- to increase controls of external borders, in particular with the Western Balkans, in order to detect smuggling of firearms;
- to enhance the knowledge and skills of border police officers exercising border control on firearms trafficking;
- to improve the understanding of ties between arms-related crime and terrorism.
Target Audience:
Investigators combatting firearms trafficking and organised crime groups involved in illicit firearms smuggling, in particular linked to the EU border.
