Aim

To develop and strengthen (cross-border) multidisciplinary operational cooperation against trafficking in human beings (THB) for the purpose of sexual exploitation, with a particular focus on African victims of THB and African organised crime groups active in THB.

Objectives

  • exchange best practices and experiences on Nigerian and other African THB investigation cases led by police;
  • identify practical problems and limitations and find solutions;
  • increase partnership and cooperation between the different actors in the multidisciplinary approach to prevent and combat African THB;
  • improve multidisciplinary or cross-border cooperation regarding victims;
  • issue recommendations on how to increase effectiveness in the fight against African THB.
Target Audience: 
  • operational law enforcement officers working on the field;
  • Ministry and public officials involved in THB;
  • NGO representatives working with victims of THB on a daily basis.
