Joint efforts in combatting card fraud

29 June 2015

The Romanian Ministry of Home Affairs organised the CEPOL course 18/2015 on Combatting Card Fraud from 12 to 15 May 2015. The activity was held at the Siqua Hotel in Bucharest (Romania). Participants from 23 EU Member States attended the course and had the possibility to exchange their experience and knowledge in the fight against this form of cybercrime.

From 5 to 8 May 2015, the CEPOL Unit of the Hellenic Police Academy organised the course 66/2015 on Training of Webinar Educators. The course took place in Veria, in northern Greece, and was led by experts from Italy, France, Greece and CEPOL staff. The activity was aimed at police educators and training developers competent in the use of Internet and willing to increase their learning and training toolbox.

CEPOL course on VAT fraud successfully held in Budapest

The International Training Centre of the Hungarian Ministry of Interior (Budapest, Hungary) hosted from 27 to 30 April 2015 the CEPOL course 08/2015 on Missing Trader Intra-Community fraud (MTIC fraud). The course brought together participants from 21 EU Member States plus Switzerland. It offered an opportunity for participants and experts to share experience and best practices and to understand different national regulations in the field of VAT fraud.
