An amok shooter, lone wolf – CEPOL goes on international threat

CEPOL’s residential activity 47/2019 Violent attacks against public – amok shootings took place in Zegrze, Poland, from 11 to 14 June 2019. Attacks committed by madmen and so-called lone wolves pose a difficulty for law enforcement forces and intelligence community as they are extremely difficult to detect and defend against.

Excise fraud course took place at the International Training Centre in Budapest

The International Training Centre in Budapest hosted the CEPOL 11/2019 „Excise fraud” course between 20-24th May, with 36 participants from 22 EU Member States and one from Georgia.

Organised crime facilitating illegal migration – links to terrorism threats: CEPOL activity took place in Zagreb

The Police Academy and the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Croatia in cooperation with supporting countries: Portugal, Italy and Greece, as well as Europol, Frontex and EMPACT has organised CEPOL activity on organised crime facilitating illegal migration – links to terrorism threat.

The activity was held in the Police Academy, Zagreb, Croatia, from 29 April to 2 May 2019 with the participation of 34 law enforcement officers and judiciary (police, prosecutors, judges) from 22 EU Member States.
