The Executive Director of CEPOL, Ms. Montserrat Marín López, concluded today a two-day visit to Paris. She had the opportunity to meet with high-level officials of the French authorities and discuss how the agency can better respond to the law enforcement training needs in the country.

More specifically, during her stay, she had the opportunity to meet with the Director General of the National Police, Mr Frederic Veaux, the Chair of the CEPOL Management Board, Mr. Phillipe Durand, the Head of the CEPOL National Unit, Ms. Marielle Suissa, as well as senior representatives of the French Gendarmerie. She visited the International Security Cooperation Directorate (DCIS), an important Framework Partner of the agency, as well as and the French Gendarmerie Officers Academy (EOGN), where she was informed about the training courses offered, with a particular focus on the MBA specialised in security management.

During her meetings in France, Ms. Montserrat Marín López expressed her gratitude towards our French partners for their strong commitment and involvement towards CEPOL and its activities, both onsite and online. Furthermore, she outlined her vision for the future of the agency, highlighting the current development of a new strategy that will define how CEPOL will deliver its training activities in the upcoming years. Regarding the role of the CEPOL International Cooperation Unit, the Executive Director thanked the country’s authorities for their continued support and noted the training opportunities it offers for French law enforcement, within the scope of the four CEPOL externally funded projects, EUROMED Police, CT INFLOW, WB PaCT and TOPCOP.

The Executive Director of CEPOL also took the opportunity to congratulate our partners for their efforts and excellent results delivered during the six months of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
