The Counter-Terrorism Information Exchange and Criminal Justice Responses (CT INFLOW) project held its first onsite activity between 15-18 November in Amman, Jordan, on the topic of terrorism recruitment.

20 experts from the Lebanese and Jordanian Law Enforcement Agencies as well as from the Arab Interior Ministers Council attended the course. The aim of the activity was to increase the capacity of participants to identify, investigate and disrupt recruitment and radicalisation of vulnerable targets and to prepare strategies to support the prevention and reduction of terrorism recruitment in the Middle East and Europe.

During the four-day long course, guest speakers from Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary and Spain as well as from Europol and the League of Arab States, discussed the topics of international cooperation and multiagency approach against radicalisation and terrorist recruitment, including the importance of fundamental rights and rule of law.

The course was organised by the CT INFLOW project team in close cooperation with the Jordanian Public Security Directorate, who also facilitated a study visit to the Community Peace Centre, a centre working on prevention of radicalisation and prevention of terrorism recruitment.
