CEPOL expresses its solidarity to Lebanon

In the wake of the violent explosion that hit Beirut yesterday, causing a loss of dozens of lives and injuring many thousands more, we offer our deepest condolences to the people and the authorities of the country.

Our thoughts go to the families of the victims and to the people wounded, to whom we send our best wishes of a swift recovery.

It was with deep sorrow that we got the news of the sad demise, of Ilkka Laitinen, former Chief of the Finnish Border Guard.
