Detlef Schröder, was invited this week by the European Parliament Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) to share his views in a hearing on the case of death of Slovak citizen Mr Jozef Chovanec which has reopened the public debate over the unjustified use of police force. CEPOL presented to the LIBE MEPs of the new Parliament’s mandate

CEPOL's Executive Director Dr h. c. Detlef Schröder presented today the Agency's tasks and activities at the meeting of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) at the European Parliament in Brussels. It was a chance for the ED to bring the work of the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training closer to the MEPs of the new EP mandate 2019-2024.

Detlef Schröder stressed that despite its low budget for many years, the Agency had achieved a continuous increase in the number of participants in CEPOL training activities over the years....
