The aim of the course is:

  • To facilitate information sharing and trust building and contribute to the identification of best practices and up to date knowledge on CBRN and Explosives domains.
  • To create awareness within Counter Terrorism Senior Law Enforcement Officials in order to generate and improve possible operations to support the fully implementation of the Regulation EU 98/2013 on the marketing and use of explosives precursors.

To identify the technical parameters of different technologies. Since different working environments have different impact on the detection capabilities, the focus is to be chosen (except of rail and metro transport as they were subject of the course 38/2017).

The aim of this course is to identify the technical parameters of different technologies in this area. Since different working environments have different impact on the detection capabilities, the focus will be on rail and metro transport. Threats are evolving, and terrorist and crime organisation are developing new ways to bypass the existing security controls. The explosive devices used in different areas to carry out attacks have different technical characteristics, and the threat amounts (the weight of explosives) vary in different areas.
