4/2019 Policing the impact of migration – Public order, hate crime, integration

  • To enhance the quality of policing the migration influx, in particular with regard to keeping the public order and safety and to gather and handle information/intelligence in order to prevent hate crimes.
  • To discuss enforcement issues from community policing perspective.

The Police Academy and the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Croatia in cooperation with supporting countries: Portugal, Italy and Greece, as well as Europol, Frontex and EMPACT has organised CEPOL activity on organised crime facilitating illegal migration – links to terrorism threat.

The activity was held in the Police Academy, Zagreb, Croatia, from 29 April to 2 May 2019 with the participation of 34 law enforcement officers and judiciary (police, prosecutors, judges) from 22 EU Member States.
