Objectives of the webinar:

  • to familiarise the participants with social science research designs and methods that can be usefully applied in the field of strategic intelligence;
  • to identify various barriers and pathologies that hinder the development of strategic intelligence as a professional practice;
  • to improve the quality, processes and outcomes of strategic intelligence reporting;
  • to understand the need for a mutually-beneficial dialogue and cooperation between academia and strategic intelligence.

The specific training activity aims to provide the trainees with a sound theoretical foundation on strategic intelligence analysis and a set of skills in developing strategic products.

After the successful completion of the Activity and its requirements, participants will be able to efficiently analyze data and by employing appropriate theories, techniques and tools, to critically advise decisionmakers at the higher levels of their own organisations.

CEPOL Course 66/2019 “Strategic Intelligence Analysis” was held from the 24th to the 27th of June 2019, in Athens, Greece. It was organised due to the increasing interest from the EU Member States to effectively use the Strategic Analysis, towards developing tailor-made holistic approaches in preventing and countering serious & organised crime, terrorism, as well as other cross-cutting security threats.
