This webinar aims to share professional experiences obtained during the Security Operation at the Portuguese Motorcycle Grand Prix at the Autódromo International of Algarve, located in Portimão, highlighting as a good practice, the exchange maintained with the Cádiz Command of the Guardia Civil, that is responsible for the security operation at the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez de la Frontera.

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

• Understand the complexity of large-scale motorsport events (Motorcycle Grand Prix events), in order to provide a better understanding of the security practices used.
• Identify principles of action GP events security that contributes to establish the operational concept and desired end state.
• Characterise the different actors that can be involved in the security of GP events and acquire an overview of possible operational deployments to apply in major motorsports events (circuits).
• Recognise options for international police cooperation that improve major events security from information sharing to deployment of joint tactical units and coordinated operations.
• Identify lessons to consider in the planning of major events such as GP events, crowd management, general crime prevention and terrorist threat prevention.
