At the first stage, candidates must submit their application electronically using the CEPOL Application Form, found under the relevant vacancy announcement on the Job vacancies section of CEPOL's website. The CEPOL Application Form is available in English only. This application form should be filled preferably in English which is the working language of the Agency. In case of difficulties please contact CEPOL's Human Resources team.

All parts of the form must be completed in full. Candidates should assess and check before submitting their application form whether they fulfil all the conditions for admission laid down in the publication notice, particularly in terms of formal requirements and selection criteria.

Guidelines for the electronic submission of the application

To use the application form it will be necessary to use Adobe Acrobat Reader version 9 or higher. We recommend that you download it for free from here as per your computer specifications.

If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 9 or newer installed on your computer the application form might not work correctly.

If you cannot open the Application Form in your web browser, please follow the instructions below:

  • right-click on the link and save the file on your computer
  • open the file with the latest version of Adobe Reader

Once you have completed the application form you should follow one of the alternatives below for submitting your application to CEPOL:

  • Using a desktop email application (Thunderbird, Eudora, Microsoft Outlook etc.). Please click on the “Email Form” button on the top right of the application form in order for the application form to be automatically packed as an attachment to an email. You still need to click on the "Send" button of the email to ensure that your application form is sent correctly to CEPOL. There is no need to write any message in the email.
  • Using Internet mail (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail etc.) Please click on the “Save as” button under the “File” menu on the top left side of the application form. Save the application on your desktop and attach it to an email and send it to the email address specified in the corresponding application form under the reference number of the vacancy notice. Applications emailed to any other email address cannot be considered. In the subject field of the email please write the reference number of the position you are applying for (e.g. CEPOL-TA-XX).

Irrespective of the alternative chosen for submitting your application we would like to encourage all applicants to save a copy of the application.

Before completing the application form it is important to read the instructions given above. Please note that due to the large number of applications we might receive, when reaching the submission deadline, the system may encounter problems processing large amounts of data. Applicants are therefore advised to send in their application form well ahead of the deadline. Please note that you will need a valid email address.

CEPOL strongly suggests not waiting to send your application until the last moment. Technical difficulties you encounter will not lead to an extension of the deadline for applications!

When submitting your application at CEPOL an automatic confirmation will be sent to you acknowledging the receipt of your application. In case you do not receive such receipt at by please contact CEPOL's Human Resources team at your earliest opportunity, but not later than 2 working days after you have sent your application.
