The aim of this webinar is to:

  • apply the concept of Joint Investigation Teams (JIT);
  • differentiate between JITs and other forms of judicial cooperation;
  • distinguish the roles of the actors involved in a JIT;
  • obtain understanding of the basic phases of the lifetime of a JIT: setting up of a JIT, operation of a JIT, closure and follow up;
  • learn about possibilities to involve main EU actor in a JIT, Eurojust and Europol;
  • learn about the support provided by Eurojust to JITs: operational support, JIT expertise and knowledge, possibilities of JITs funding;
  • learn about JIT Network and role of the JITs national experts;
  • other supporting tools, such as JIT model agreement and JIT Practical Guide.

The aim of this webinar is to give an overview of the investigative techniques and decryption tools that can be used by law enforcement authorities in cyber forensic investigations.

At the end of the webinar the participants will be able to:

  • Identify encrypted files and communications;
  • Describe the forensic tools available on decryption;
