06 December 2021 to 10 December 2021

The aim of this activity is to enhance leadership performance and cooperation of leaders at EU level by strengthening the competencies of future law enforcement decision-makers in terms of strategyformulation, implementation and change management with particular emphasis on international/EU dimension of enforcement. To foster a network of future leaders in EU law enforcement, encouraging international partnership, addressing future challenges for law enforcement and assessing the training needs in relation to leadership development.

06 December 2021 to 10 December 2021

The aim of this training activity is to assist Member States in sharing knowledge on application and coordination regarding transposition of the Directive 2011/93/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 December 2011 on combating sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children, and child pornography, replacing the Council Framework-Decision 2004/68/JHA.

The learning strategy is focused on enhancing the capacity of European law enforcement officers to deal with management of child sex offenders.

The learning process highlights a learner-centred approach and will consist of:

  • Online Contact Learning: daily live online sessions, group assignments, forum tasks, discussion with other participants, exchange of good practice (11 hours)
  • Independent Learning: reviewing study material ( e.g. case studies, watching webinars and short videos) (11 hours)

Since this will be hybrid course, meaning the course format is a combination of live sessions and self-study; participants shall be available for daily live webinar sessions to complete the course tasks.

This is important, as the participants will need to exchange their ideas with other experts and participants virtually. In addition, the participants shall complete small tasks/assignments then share the results of these tasks be-tween each other and discuss them collectively. Completion of the course would require approximately 5 hours study time per day (this includes already the 3 hours daily live sessions).

The course will be held entirely in English, therefore it is essential that nominated officials possess appropriate language skills (at least B2 level).

No special experience is required from participants but it is important that they`ll remain open-minded, active and will be willing to share their ideas/experience during the learning process.

The entire activity will be carried out online on CEPOL’s Law Enforcement Education Platform (LEEd) and daily live sessions will be delivered via GoToTraining, hence the physical presence of participants will not be required. Participants will need to complete the registration procedure in LEEd in order to get access to the course page.
