The event is taking place online on 5-7 May 2021!
Illicit waste trafficking and management is a highly profitable and low risk activity with a serious and direct adverse impact on the health and life quality of the European population, reducing the competitiveness of law abiding economic actors, enriching organised crime, creating huge environmental, social and financial costs. This criminal phenomenon is committed frequently by organised crime groups at national and international scale as well and often linked to document fraud. This webinar aims to raise the attention of law enforcement and judicial officials to the various existing crime patterns by demonstrating examples of criminal engagement through concrete criminal cases. Experts from Italy, Slovakia and Spain will describe good practices of operational work focusing on intelligence and investigative as well as on judicial-law enforcement cooperation aspects.
Law enforcement officers combating environmental crime. Customs, police and judiciary officers are all welcome.
