The Croatian Police Academy in Zagreb organised from 29 June to 2 July the CEPOL course 37/2015 “Undercover operations”. 28 police officers from EU Member States attended the course and had the opportunity to share work experiences in this area. Among the trainers of this activity were police experts from Croatia, Czech Republic, Portugal and United Kingdom, together with representatives from the Croatian judiciary.

37/2015 Undercover operations

The aim of this course was to improve the knowledge and skills of police officers in managing undercover operations, and in recruiting and training undercover agents. Experts provided participants with insight from the legal perspective and introduced current key issues in this field.

Participants were welcomed by Mr. Želimir Radmilović, head of the Croatian Police Academy and Governing Board voting member, Ms. Danijela Petković, Croatian NCP, and Mr. Damir Maračić, course coordinator. Through practical presentations, case studies, workshops and simulations, students learned specific undercover techniques used in Croatia and other European countries.

The organisers are confident that this training activity will contribute to consolidate a safer living environment for European citizens.
