The aim of the training activity is to improve law enforcement cooperation and information exchange related to serious crime and counter terrorism and international cooperation by intensifying contacts between European counterparts; by enhancing the use of the EU information exchange mechanisms, channels and instruments as well as the use and feeding of relevant EU information systems by EU law enforcement including customs authorities; and by strengthening customs organisations contribution to and their involvement in the EU Policy cycle as well as increase the knowledge on the added value of Justice and Home Affairs Agencies.

The learning strategy is focused to support the participants to achieve the learning outcomes by following a learner-centred approach and interactive, participatory, practical and experiential principles in accordance with andragogic theory. The activity involves didactic learning through presentations by subject matter experts, experiential learning by study cases, group discussions and presentations.

The duration of the course is 3 weeks including live training sessions and pre and post course activities.

The course will be held entirely in English, therefore it is essential that nominated officials possess appropriate language skills (at least B2 level). The entire activity will be carried out online on CEPOL’s Law Enforcement Education Platform (LEEd), hence the physical presence of participants will not be required.

In case you are interested to attend, please contact your local CEPOL National Unit / CEPOL National Contact Point as soon as possible. Deadline for nominations by CEPOL National Units: 5 May 2021.

Selected participants have to be registered to CEPOL's online Law Enforcement Education platform LEEd where the online activity will take the place.

Target Audience: 

Law enforcement officials deployed at international law enforcement cooperation and information exchange channels and units operating internationally for specific organised crime and counter-terrorism topics.
