Experts and trainers

ExpertsTrainers

A vast amount of CEPOL training activities is conducted with the support of external experts and operationally active law enforcement personnel. Identifying the best profiles is at the core of our efforts aiming to enhance the quality of our learning offer and training activities.

CEPOL draws on the expertise of professionals working in EU Justice and Home Affairs’ agencies, EU institutions, international organisations, and national law enforcement bodies.

In addition, our Agency is continuously looking for external experts in the following areas to assist our teams in, among other tasks, the design and implementation of training activities:

  • EU crime priorities - Serious and organised crime
  • Counter-terrorism
  • Fundamental rights and management of diversity
  • Law enforcement EU/regional/international cooperation, information exchange and analysis, interoperability
  • Leadership and other skills and competencies
  • Higher education and research
  • Public order and prevention
  • Learning development
  • Union Missions (CSDP, management, planning, command, threat assessment)

Our Agency launches in 2024 a new call for expression of interest addressed to those professionals interested in working with CEPOL as external experts. The call details the selection criteria, the required expertise, the description of the tasks and their duration, and the conditions of remuneration of experts.

A selection of candidates is performed on a quarterly basis for the purpose of updating the database with additional profiles. When specific expertise needs arise, CEPOL selects from the most recent update of the database an expert that meets the relevant criteria as defined in the call.

Those interested in joining our database of external experts can submit their expression of interest until 28.11.2027. Check our dedicated section here for further information.
