The aim of the webinar is to highlight possibilities of Law Enforcement Agencies and Judicial authorities to investigate and cumulative prosecute Foreign Terrorism Fighters for War Crimes and terrorism-related offences.

Upon the completion of this activity the participant will be able to:

  • Summarise the challenges and difficulties to an effective cumulative prosecution for Core International Crimes and terrorism-related offences;
  • Recognise and describe the importance of the Role of the Genocide Network and Eurojust, in this field;
  • Illustrate successful case studies from Member States;
  • Identify advantages of cumulative prosecutions and formulate best practices.
Target Audience: 

Law enforcement officers; Criminal investigators and representatives from judicial authorities involved in the prevention, investigation and prosecution of Foreign Terrorist Fighters / Travelling Terrorists / Returnees.
