19th Governing Board Meeting Held in Spain

The 19th Governing Board meeting, the first to be hosted by the Spanish Presidency, took place in Madrid, Spain on 23-24 February 2010.

Dr Ferenc Bánfi, who took up the post of Director on 16 February 2010, was introduced to the Governing Board.

New CEPOL Director Meets President José Manuel Barroso

Dr Ferenc Bánfi, CEPOL’s new Director, had the opportunity to meet with European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso at the Heads of EU Agencies meeting on Wednesday.

The main topic under discussion was ways to strengthen the agencies partnership with the European Commission and to share views on the EU’s future approach to the governance of the agencies.

The heads of European Union Agencies met today with European Commission President José Manuel Barroso to discuss ways to strengthen their partnership with the European Commission and to share their views on the EU’s future approach to the governance of the Agencies.
