TOPCOP project delivers first train-the-trainers course in Hungary
28 July 2022

CEPOL has implemented the first train-the-trainers course under the TOPCOP project. The aim of this training, which took place from 11 to 15 July 2022 at CEPOL headquarters in Budapest, was to familiarise law enforcement trainers from the Eastern Partnership region with the concepts of blended learning, instructional design principles and methods, as well as with e-learning authoring tools and webinar software. Using modern e-learning techniques in law enforcement education increases the knowledge of the staff in a cost efficient way and contributes to the successful fight against serious and organised crime.

Nine participants from the Police and Justice Academies of Armenia, the Police Academy and Customs of Azerbaijan, and the Police Academies of Georgia and Moldova took part in this activity. CEPOL experts in the field of e-learning delivered sessions on adult-learning principles, blended learning models, learning management systems and collaborative learning approaches. Over the course of this training, participants had the chance to put in practice the elements of training, learning assessment and online resources design along with techniques related to the creation of engaging online content.

At the end of the training week, one of the experts concluded:

“We congratulate the participants on the successful completion of this course. We wish them all the best in designing and creating their own online training content using the tools we provided them in this train-the-trainers activity.”

TOPCOP is a project funded by the European Union that aims at creating capacity building networks and increasing the operational cooperation of law enforcement authorities among the beneficiary Eastern Partnership countries, as well the EU member states, and the EU Agencies.
