The TOPCOP project implemented a Trafficking in Human Beings national training between 6-10 December in Chisinau, Moldova. The aim of the course was to address this serious crime bringing a broader understanding on the methods of recruitment of victims via the internet.

During the activity, 30 representatives from the law enforcement institutions of the Republic of Moldova gained deeper insights into techniques used by traffickers. The legal, administrative and technical means of combatting recruitment of victims was also a key topic of this CEPOL training activity, with an emphasis on the EU’s best practices and on the European Multidisciplinary Platform Against Criminal Threats (EMPACT).

TOPCOP is a project funded by the European Union that aims at creating capacity building networks and increasing the operational cooperation of law enforcement authorities among the beneficiary Eastern Partnership countries, as well the EU member states, and the EU Agencies.
