2024 in Brief – A yearly review of key milestones

The EU Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) supports law enforcement officials in their work to prevent and fight against serious and organised crime, terrorism, and emerging security threats. CEPOL offers specialised vocational training at EU-level that facilitates and enhances cross-border law enforcement cooperation.

In 2024, the agency continued its efforts to promote a safer Europe. Throughout the year, CEPOL delivered 347 training activities to almost 22 000 law enforcement officials, achieving an impressive overall satisfaction rate of 97%.

63 onsite activities were organised in EU Member States. Furthermore, 112 e-learning activities, alongside nearly 160 exchanges were implemented to enhance collaboration and professional development among law enforcement professionals.

CEPOL’s International Cooperation projects in the EU neighbourhood region continued to strengthen law enforcement collaboration beyond EU borders as more than 3 200 officials participated in 172 activities.
