
The European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) is launching a call for applications for its traineeship programme for a period of six months for an intake in September 2025.
CEPOL's traineeship scheme targets university students or recent graduates with the interest in the work of our Agency. The aim of the traineeship scheme is to benefit both parties – the Agency and the trainees – by giving university students or recent graduates their first experience of working for an EU body and assisting in the completion of specific tasks which are useful to CEPOL.
Trainees shall be nationals of the Member States of the European Union, Schengen Associated Countries or candidate countries benefiting from a pre-accession strategy.
Applications are invited for the following positions in Budapest and Brussels:
- Liaison Office trainee (Brussels)
- Communications trainee (Budapest)
- Archivist and records management trainee (Budapest)
- Learning management system trainee (Budapest)
- Training needs analysis trainee (Budapest)
- Higher education, research and innovation trainee (Budapest)
What CEPOL offers?

How to apply?
All applications will be subject to pre-selection taking into account the applicant’s profile and the organisational needs and requirements.
There are three requirements to be fulfilled in order for the application to be considered valid:
- Candidates should submit their application in English using the EU Pass CV with the motivation letter;
- Candidates should clearly state in their application for which of the announced traineeship opportunities they are applying. Each traineeship position requires separate application;
- The application is to be submitted electronically to the traineeships@CEPOL.europa.eu e-mail address in order for CEPOL to confirm compliance with the eligibility criteria for the traineeship.
