CEPOL strengthens counter-terrorism analytical capabilities through simulation training

CT analysis

Effective counter-terrorism relies not only on timely intelligence but also on the ability to analyse information and identify emerging threats. To strengthen these capabilities, CEPOL organised a counter-terrorism analysis activity under the CT INFLOW project from 29 June to 3 July 2026 in Budapest.

Through simulation exercises, participants deepened their analytical skills by working through practical counter-terrorism scenarios designed to reflect operational realities. This practical approach enabled participants to strengthen their ability to transform information into actionable intelligence while supporting informed decision-making.

"Working through realistic scenarios made the training highly practical and relevant to our daily work. At the same time, exchanging experiences with colleagues from different countries provided valuable perspectives on common challenges,” said Karim Labib, counter-terrorism expert from France.

Beyond strengthening individual competencies, the activity also provided a valuable platform for professional exchange among practitioners from partner countries. By sharing experiences, discussing common challenges and building professional networks, participants reinforced international cooperation and contributed to a shared understanding of effective counter-terrorism analysis, supporting collective efforts to address evolving security threats.
