Jan Pecháček attends International Day of Police Cooperation event in Prague

On 8 September 2026, a ceremonial event was held in Prague on the occasion of the International Day of Police Cooperation. During this event, the flag of the Directorate for International Police Cooperation of the Police Presidium of the Czech Republic was blessed in the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and St. Charlemagne at Prague's Karlov, which forms part of the Museum of the Police of the Czech Republic complex. The ceremony was attended by the Police President of the Czech Republic, Brigadier General Martin Vondrášek, the Deputy Police President for the Criminal Police and Investigation Service, Major General Tomáš Kubík, the Director of the Directorate for International Police Cooperation, Colonel David Janda, as well as other senior police officials, participants in foreign missions, and invited guests.
As part of the celebration, several awards were presented to officers who had successfully served abroad in the roles of liaison officers, members of international missions, and joint patrols. One of the award recipients was the Executive Director of the EU Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL), retired Colonel Jan Pecháček, who was awarded the Bronze Medal by the Director of the Directorate for International Police Cooperation in recognition of his contribution to the development and strengthening of international police cooperation, particularly in the field of international training.
