3042/2026/WEB 'Intersection of terrorism, extremism and youth – Violent accelerationism / the com / 764'

The aim of this webinar is to provide law enforcement professionals with a clear and operational understanding of the risks and challenges associated with Com/764-type networks within the broader context of nihilistic accelerationist violence and its global reach.
Through the use of Dutch case examples and the wider European threat picture, including perspectives from Europol, the webinar will strengthen awareness of this serious and evolving phenomenon. It will also promote coordinated; multi-agency approaches by exploring how national authorities and specialised partners can cooperate effectively.
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Describe the core characteristics of accelerationist ideology and 764-related online networks, including their narratives, operating logic, and appeal to youth audiences.
- Explain how youth vulnerability factors (psychosocial, online subcultures, gaming platforms, grievance narratives) are exploited within accelerationist and 764-influenced ecosystems.
- Identify behavioural, online and communication indicators relevant to early-stage involvement in accelerationist or 764-linked violent trajectories, using case-based examples.
- Assess appropriate law enforcement responses—investigative, preventive, or multi-agency—when dealing with youth-involved cases linked to accelerationist or 764-inspired dynamics.
- Discuss the legal, operational, and strategic implications of potentially designating Com/764-type networks as terrorist organisations at European level, - pros and cons.
This activity is implemented by the CEPOL Knowledge Centre on Counter-terrorism.
