87/2021 Understanding the Darknet - basics of encryption in counter-terrorism

The aim of this activity is to enhance the skills of the participants to independently conduct CT investigations in the Darknet on the basis of their (advanced) knowledge of different parts of Darknet, crypto currencies and block chain; their understanding of Darknet marketplaces and discussion forums; their ability to operate securely online and to collect and analyse digital evidence as well as to use the right software for the investigations.

The aim of this activity is to improve practitioners’ performance by enhancing their competences to apply the general critical infrastructure (CI) security measures and cybersecurity as well as their skills in identifying and managing risk as well as identifying and linking the impact of new technologies for CI protection.

The aim of this activity is to enhance the practitioners’ performance in the areas of counter-terrorism by improving their knowledge on the best counter-terrorism practices in the field of main terrorist phenomena, including the role of EU agencies in the fight against terrorism, knowledge of the most important policies implemented at EU level and assessment support provided to Member States' investigations by Europol / ECTC, Eurojust and Frontex.
