
The course is designed on the online platform of CEPOL. The physical presence of participants will not be required, trainers will facilitate the course, give instructions and provide feedback online.
The overall objective of the training activity is to enhance knowledge on the realities of the European drug market and drug trade in order to enhance strategic and tactical level decision making in the area of combating drug trafficking.
Upon completion of the activity the participants will be able:
Explain how their daily operations relate to the wider implications of drug markets in their society
Recognise the value of a strategic approach in operations against drug crimes and the usefulness of robust data in order to identify new opportunities and challenges for a swift tactical/operational response
Discover new sources of data of strategic value to drug law enforcement
Critically assess opportunities for improvement of operational practice by using strategic analysis
Recommend a new course of action based on the opportunities identified through strategic analysis
Understand the role of relevant EU/international agencies and organisations
The online course is dedicated to law enforcement experts (police + customs) specialized in drug trafficking related operations, investigations and intelligence analysis.
