15/2015 Train the trainers to combat child sexual exploitation on the Internet

The aim of this activity is to develop skills and competences among the participants, to enhance cooperation and to harmonise investigative methods between law enforcement agencies from EU Member States, Associate countries and Candidate countries dealing with sexual exploitation of children and production/dissemination of child abuse material on the Internet, also through Organised Crime Groups (OCGs).

Participants will be able to:

  • describe the use of Internet and its tools to gather relevant information at online investigations against child sexual abuses
  • describe techniques and the use of tools to improve the identification of children and child offenders
  • describe new trends and techniques in online investigations and forensics
  • use international channels and organisations to improve the effectiveness on the fight against online child sexual exploitation
  • understand the criminal profile of child sexual offenders and their approach to groom children
Target Audience: 

Senior police officers and specialists involved in the coordination and investigation against sexual exploitation on Internet and responsible for training experts at national level (relevant security clearance is required).
