The objective of the webinar is to better equip law enforcement officers to avoid any risk for fundamental rights violations and will be better able to protect unaccompanied children in return procedures.

At the end of the webinar the participant will be able to:

  • Explain why unaccompanied children are at a higher risk for fundamental rights violations;
  • Explain the principle of the best interests of the child in the context of unaccompanied children;
  • Apply this knowledge for ensuring the best interests of unaccompanied children in an irregular situation in practice.
Target Audience: 

Law enforcement officers who in their work, especially in the context of return, are confronted with unaccompanied children.
