CEPOL course 10/2014 “Cocaine smuggling”

Did you know that the wastewater from a city can reveal how much cocaine its inhabitants consume? The CEPOL course 10/2014 “Cocaine smuggling” opened with very interesting findings from a European project: wastewater from over 40 European cities were analysed to explore the drug-taking habits of their citizens.

CEPOL Presidency Seminar 17/2014 – Illegal gambling and organised crime

The Italian CEPOL unit held a seminar on 22-23 October 2014 aimed at discussing in detail illegal gambling and organised crime from an interdisciplinary and European perspective. 40 delegates from 20 European countries, together with experts from Europol and Interpol, participated in this event organised by the Italian EU presidency team at the Scuola di Perfezionamento per le Forze di Polizia (Rome).

The Portuguese Guarda Nacional Republicana organised CEPOL course 67/2014 “European Internal Security Strategy” on 8-10 October 2014 at the School of Guard (Queluz, Portugal). The activity was attended by law enforcement officers from 25 EU Member States and Associated Countries.
