The Police College of Finland in Tampere hosted CEPOL course 47/2013 Joint Investigation Teams (JITs) - Leadership, Planning and Implementation on 22 - 26 April 2013. Thirty-four participants from 22 different CEPOL Member States took part in this course. The expert coaches came from Europol, Eurojust, France, UK, Sweden and Spain.

Pre-course material included the Joint Investigation Team Online Learning model, which helped many participants prepare for the course. The course itself contained information on the legal background for JITs, practical workshops and a full range of JIT documentation and case studies from JIT cases.

There were also some informal evening sessions in addition to the course work. Participants experienced Finnish food and drinks as well the chance to swim in a frozen lake and experience a sauna in a traditional Finnish cottage.
