The CEPOL Course 60/2021 ‘’Train the Trainers’’ – Step 2 took place in Heraklion, Greece from 07 to 11 March 2022. This onsite activity was the 3rd, final module of the “Train the Trainers” activity which focused on the “Delivery of CEPOL training sessions”. It was a continuation of Module 1 that introduced the context of CEPOL training activities and Module 2 that focused on designing and planning of CEPOL Training Sessions.

The overall aim of the training was to enhance the capacity of the participants to deliver training sessions in line with CEPOL’s principles and standards by applying innovative, effective, and responsive training delivery methods with a learner-centred approach and by promoting the fundamental rights-based approach.

The activity was organised by the Center for Security Studies (KEMEA) as part of a consortium with the Austrian Federal Police Academy, the Higher Institute of Police Sciences and Internal Security of Portugal, and in close cooperation with the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL), as well as the Hellenic Police.

A total of 24 participants from 15 Member States, FRONTEX and EUIPO took part in this training activity.

Georgios Chasapis, activity manager of this course, highlighted:

’’CEPOL's main tasks include train other trainers and facilitate the exchange of best practices in learning and training methodology. This course is a new pilot consisting of three modules each of one aiming at enhancing the trainers’ capacity to deliver training sessions in line with CEPOL’s principles and standards’’.
