Today a ministerial delegation from Montenegro visited CEPOL’s HQ to receive information about the Agency’s activities and training opportunities. A group of Montenegrin civil servants visited our Agency as part of the programme organised by the Hungarian Institute of Foreign Affairs and Trade in the framework of the Think Visegrad Civil Servants Mobility Programme of the Visegrad 4 group.

In the course of the meeting, visiting delegates had the chance to get an overview of the work and mission of the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL), while also gaining knowledge of the wide portfolio of training activities offered by CEPOL. Discussions on future cooperation perspectives were also explored.

Montenegro, as a candidate country to the EU membership, is a key partner for CEPOL. The Agency signed a cooperation agreement in 2011 with the Montenegrin Police Academy, and the country is also benefitting from the training courses of the Western Balkans Financial Investigation Project, a joint programme with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
