On the agenda of the meeting was the presentation by CEPOL of the priorities of the Justice and Home Affairs Agencies Network* for 2022. Taking the floor during this discussion point, the CEPOL Head of Operations underlined the agency’s dedication and enthusiasm to achieve tangible results throughout the year, in cooperation with the other partners of the network.

When noting the three main priorities under the CEPOL Presidency: Digital transformation, EU Green Deal and the JHAA contribution to achieving its objectives, as well the JHA agencies’ cooperation with third countries, Ms Pukonen had the opportunity to stress the importance of training as an overarching priority for CEPOL.

‘Training is at the core of our agency’s mandateArrow icon and, of course, we will encourage discussions around aspects of training within the context of the Justice and Home Affairs Agencies Network. For example, we all have knowledge and experiences to share regarding the impact of the pandemic on current learning methods and environments. Recognising the important role that digitalisation has to play, we will also focus on digital skills gaps, particularly in relation to law enforcement, as well as on elements of electronic training, learning and capacity building’,

stated Ms Pukonen on the occasion of the meeting.
