Background information

The EU Agencies Network (EUAN) consists of 52 EU decentralised Agencies, Joint Undertakings, and bodies and their 13000 staff located in the EU Member States. EUAN supports their work by contributing to the implementation of EU policies. Established in 2006, it fosters the strengthened collaboration between the decentralised EU bodies, allowing better communication, the exchange of good practices and the development of synergies on issues of mutual interest.

Since March 2018, the EUAN is supported by the Shared Support Office (SSO), located in Brussels. Among other tasks, the SSO helps ensuring continuity between the different coordinating agencies and maintains the institutional memory of the Network by managing files, documents, and archives; by keeping track of actions and positions taken by the Network and its members; and by being a stable interlocutor for all EU institutions and bodies.
