They had the opportunity to learn from experts from the European Commission, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Italy, Europol and the Fundamental Rights Agency. The training included practical exercises and focused on the EU legal framework of information exchange; Secure Information Exchange Network Application (SIENA) and Europol Information System (EIS) awareness; Europol as the information hub; information systems supporting law enforcement cooperation, fundamental rights aspects; SPOC role and its main functions; and many other related subtopics. Moreover, participants visited the Italian SPOC office to learn about the national experiences of their Italian colleagues.
