Watch the recap of this year’s Research and Science Conference

“Insightful”, “a unique experience”, “broad range of presentations”, “great networking occasion”, “very high-level contributions”. This is what participants said of the recent CEPOL Research & Science Conference on tackling the world of High-Risk Criminal Networks (HRCN). The event, serving as a bridge between academia and practitioners, was organised in cooperation with the Economic Financial Police School of the Italian Guardia di Finanza (GdF).
Between 25 and 27 March 2025, in the hospitable atmosphere of the GdF’s school in Ostia, Italy, over 300 participants shared their insights on disrupting organised crime and strengthening cross-border law enforcement cooperation. Academics, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and experts engaged in fruitful discussions, exchanging knowledge and experiences, thus contributing to the success of future criminal investigations, but also future law enforcement training.
Find out how bridging the gap between research and operational realities can help prevent and dismantle high-risk criminal networks. Watch the conference recap video, capturing special moments of our three-day event.
