The aim of this webinar is to raise awareness on the benefits and challenges of Facial Image Comparisons (FIC) in the context of law enforcement and criminal investigations.

This webinar is implemented by the CEPOL Knowledge Centre on Interoperability.

By the end of this webinar, the audience will be able to:

• Decide which biometric modalities are preferable for specific law enforcement applications;
• Explain the challenges of facial image comparisons and the limits of the human examiners;
• Assess the effects of bias in decision making in the context of facial image comparison;
• Compare main methods used in facial image comparison and the advantages and disadvantages of each method.
