3027/2023/WEB 'The Critical Entities Resilience Directive (CER) and The Network and Information Security 2 Directive (NIS 2)'

The aim of this webinar is to introduce participants to the new EU legislation on resilience of critical entities and cybersecurity, the Critical Entities Resilience Directive (CER) and the Network and Information Security 2 Directive (NIS 2).

This webinar is implemented by the CEPOL Knowledge Centre on Counter-terrorism.

By the end of this webinar, the audience will be able to:

• Identify the new measures and challenges for Member States as regards the implementation of the new CER Directive;
• Highlight the requirements for critical entities to carry out risk assessments;
• Recognise the need for a comprehensive multidimensional and integrated approach (physical and cyber dimensions) to enhance the protection of critical infrastructure;
• Highlight the importance of the NIS2 Directive for the security of networks and information systems;
• Demonstrate how the All-Hazards Approach aims to protect networks and information systems and the physical environment of those systems from incidents.
