3037/2025/WEB ’Online detection and prevention of radicalisation’

The aim of this webinar is to empower law enforcement professionals with the knowledge and tools necessary to identify and prevent online radicalisation, focusing on early detection, intervention strategies, and collaborative efforts to counter extremism in digital spaces.
By the end of this webinar, the audience will be able to:
- highlight the online radicalisation process and describe the stages of online radicalisation and the tactics used by extremist groups to target vulnerable individuals;
- identify warning signs and red flags, allowing participants to recognise indicators of radicalisation across various online platforms and tools;
- recognise the importance of using technological tools for detection: including leveraging AI and machine learning to monitor extremist content and best practices for using social media analytics and threat assessment tools;
- highlight the need for a collaborative approach building partnerships with tech companies, NGOs, educators, law enforcement and mental health professionals;
- discuss challenges, lessons learned and best practices using case studies of successful detection and intervention.
