The aim of this webinar is to equip law enforcement officials with the knowledge and tools to identify, assess, and respond to extreme content displayed in public spaces, balancing public safety, constitutional rights, and community concerns.

This webinar is implemented by the CEPOL Knowledge Centre on Counter-terrorism.

By the end of this webinar, the audience will be able to:

  • Distinguish between protected and unlawful expressions of extreme content by applying relevant legal frameworks to operational scenarios;
  • Assess the potential threat level and community impact of extreme content displayed in public or online spaces using structured analytical criteria;
  • Apply constitutionally compliant and operationally sound response strategies when managing incidents involving extreme content in public settings;
  • Highlight techniques for building community trust and cooperation when addressing incidents involving extreme or inflammatory content;
  • Discuss past cases involving extreme content to identify operational challenges and extract transferable best practices for future incidents.
