3060/2025/WEB 'Drug-related public order situation in the south of Spain: From trafficking hashish to cocaine'

The aim of this webinar is to create an understanding of drug-related public order challenges for law enforcement in the south of Spain, caused by the trafficking of hashish, and more recently cocaine using go-fast boats (narcolanchas).

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to: 

• Describe the socio-economical situation of the area, including indicators for becoming involved in criminal activities;
• Explain the public order situation for the south of Spain in terms of evolution of trafficking of hashish to cocaine;
• Describe the effect of the prohibition of go-fast boats (narcolanchas) as a key factor in the new modus operandi of drugs trafficking;
• Give an evolution of the use of violence by criminals against the public and against law enforcement.
