3071/2023/WEB 'The use of social media in missing person cases'

The aim of the webinar is to demonstrate the many ways in which the use of social media can be beneficial in missing persons and unidentified remains investigations, but will also show the risks involved with asking the public for their help.
By the end of this webinar, the audience will be able to:
- Apply the information in their decision making on the use of social media, the channels they will use and the content of what will be shared with the public.
- Explain to the public what the intention of the particular request for information or cooperation is about.
- Implement or adjust and maybe increase the use of social media to obtain information from the public with the intention to locate missing persons, identify unknown remains and provide closure to those left behind.
