The aim of this onsite activity is to
- strengthen the capacity of law enforcement to protect our economy, safeguard communities, and ensure a robust and coordinated response to the growing threat of ransomware.
- equip law enforcement agents with advanced skills and knowledge necessary to effectively analyse, identify and investigate ransomware attacks.
- enhance the understanding of ransomware mechanics, attack vectors, and the latest strategies to identify perpetrators.
By building on the existing cybercrime expertise, the program seeks to empower officers to lead conduct through investigations.

Target audience
Law enforcement agents with intermediate level of expertise in the field of malware and ransomware attacks. More specifically, the selected law enforcement agents should already have some technical knowledge (networks and protocols, operating systems, security tools). A good grasp of ransomware specific knowledge and concepts regarding behaviour, response and mitigation strategies would also allow the selected agents to fully benefit from the proposed workshop.
